i've been inspired.

typically when i start something like this, it turns out to be a one time thing. hopefully, this will continue. perhaps that can be my new years resolution, rather than something i don't even attempt to try keeping for longer than january 2nd.

i moved down to florida 17 months ago. i can technically be called a floridian, whatever that means. the first 10 months down here were exciting, yet aggrivating. its amazing how the quality of your time and life boil down to the company you keep. but thats old news. i can honestly say i'm happy in this moment. the past 7 months have been rejuvinating. i love my life. i'm blessed to have my family healthy, to have met some of the best friends i could have asked for, to have two of the best dogs ever, and quite possibly i may have met the love of my life.

i have learned to look out for myself, rather than everyone else. although i have chosen therapy as my occupation, it is not my responsibility to try and fix everyone that i encounter in my personal life. friendships and relationships need to be two way streets, rather than a long frustrating traffic filled highway.

Thats my words of wisdom for the new year. 2007 has been a trip, but the way its looking 2008 may just be a vacation.
